  4. Firstly, this is still going to be part of the MPDMailpostV2 package, to
  5. give users that extra helping hand in running their own mailinglists. Many
  6. thanks to the people who did respond to the first beta text, and gave me
  7. the feedback from the program. So far, only praise has been given, and no
  8. bugs found at all, which is a relief to me.

  10. After reading these mails, it was clear that many of you wish to use the
  11. program to run a mailing list of some kind. Having written the program in
  12. the way I did, you'd need to be a programmer yourself, or do the process
  13. manually, to create each of the script entries and remove all the rubbish
  14. from the mails. If you are a programmer, then its just as easy to write a
  15. small routine that would do it.

  17. The next released part of the program is going to be a basic Mailinglist
  18. Manager program, which will only require the MPDMailpostV2 program, and a
  19. POP3 Email account of its own in which to use. It will have the usual
  20. Mailinglist commands, and methods of subscribing, and maybe one or two
  21. other small pieces. Ive been working on a humongous Mailinglist Manager for
  22. the past few months, which has hundreds of options and data flags etc. and
  23. will be implementing a lot of routines from this program, chopping most of
  24. it away to make it as simple as possible for you to use.

  26. Ive already begun piecing the program together, and expect a small beta out
  27. by the end of the weekend. What I would like you people to do out there, as
  28. it is you who wishes to use the programs, is tell me exactly what kind of
  29. options you would like to see in the program so I can add them in
  30. immidiately. Some features I could add if interest is shown are:

  32. File Server (Handy for a MOD mailinglist etc.)
  33. Newsposting Compatability (Echo an email list to news, or vice versa)
  34. Detailed Statistics and Categorization of postings
  35.  
  36. The list is endless, but I cant start adding all the good stuff unless you
  37. tell me what to add.
